Discount this”, “FREE that”, “We specialise in…,” or “We have been in business for…” It’s all screaming ME ME ME. Are you starting to see a pattern here? Proposing on the first date is, generally speaking, a recipe for disaster.

On social media, you need to move a bit slower, provide value and build trust and awareness first before moving into salesy conversion ads.

The biggest culprits of this first broken rule are people that jump straight into ads asking for some kind of sale to a cold audience – and then these same people claim social media ads don’t work.
